Who We Are
- Equitable Tech, LLC is a technology strategy and implementation firm serving the human services sector.
- We were founded on a simple observation from inside public systems: the technology needed to transform care already exists; what’s missing is the architecture, the training, and the plain-language bridge to the people meant to benefit. We provide all three.
- A human-in-the-loop philosophy guides our work: technology should expand independence and community inclusion, serving as a supplement, not a replacement, for human supports within a person-centered ecosystem.
Our Founder
Jennifer A. Petersen is a blueprint builder behind the Enabling Technology movement, a visionary who didn’t just talk about access but designed the system to deliver it. Her institutional capacity roadmap isn’t a set of goals; it’s a full-on infrastructure revolution that turned policy into people-centered action.
She didn’t just help launch Massachusetts’ Supportive Technology initiative; she engineered its foundation. From piloting life-enhancing modules to securing federal waivers and designing innovation grants, she carved pathways where none existed. Her work bridges gaps in autonomy, equity, and service delivery, and she embedded quality assurance, stakeholder education, and systemic sustainability at every turn.
Her leadership didn’t build programs. It built momentum!
