Our Services

At Equitable Tech, we help human services organizations, providers, and families put technology to work- the right tools, integrated the right way, in service of independence and person-centered care. From strategy through implementation, we bridge the distance between what technology promises and what people actually experience.

Technology-Enabled Supports Ecosystem Design

  • We architect complete support ecosystems built on a layered, human-centered model: smart environment and sensor technology, wearables and personal safety devices, assistive technology, virtual service delivery, telehealth, and AI-driven predictive analytics, all integrated around the electronic health record as the central coordination hub.
  • The result is a closed-loop system where real-time data from sensors, wearables, and assistive devices actively drives care planning, automated safety alerts, and progressive independence, reducing reliance on continuous in-person staffing while improving outcomes. Our hybrid support framework moves individuals through three stages: high support with enabling technology, balanced hybrid support, and technology-enabled independence.

Vendor Identification, Vetting & Rapid Deployment

  • The biggest barrier to transformation is the gap between planning and execution. Equitable Tech maintains an established network of vetted technology vendors and platforms, remote supports and virtual staffing, smart home and voice-activated environments, communication and cognitive support tools, medication and health management devices, wearable safety systems, and VR-based skills training — with demonstrated capacity for rapid, HIPAA-compliant, Medicaid-aligned deployment.
  • We track this landscape continuously, including emerging categories like financial decision-support tools, privacy-by-design AI companions, and next-generation communication access — so our clients adopt what’s proven, not just what’s promoted.

Workforce Modernization & Certificate Training

  • Our Technology-Enabled Human Services Ecosystem Certificate Program prepares direct support professionals, care coordinators, and healthcare support staff for digitally integrated, person-centered care.
  • The ten-module curriculum spans digital literacy foundations, HCBS ecosystems, assistive technology and accessibility standards, EHR and interoperability, telehealth, virtual supports, cybersecurity and digital ethics, AI accessibility, and data literacy, taught through simulation labs, hands-on assistive technology integration, and scenario-based assessment.

Innovation & Independence Hub

Technology & Least-Restrictive Decision-Making

  • Our Innovation & Independence Hub model brings technology-enabled support out of the abstract and into a physical space people can experience. Each hub is a zone-designed environment where individuals, families, and staff can try assistive technology, smart home tools, remote support platforms, and immersive learning systems hands-on, before committing to them at home.
  • Equitable Tech provides the complete methodology: zone design, device selection and configuration, secure network infrastructure, curriculum, and staff training, deployable at provider sites across Massachusetts and beyond.

  • Guardianship law requires courts to consider less restrictive alternatives before removing a person’s legal decision-making rights, and assistive technology is one of the clearest ways to demonstrate that a less restrictive option exists.
  • A documented, working set of supports, matched to actual functioning rather than assumed incapacity, is powerful evidence.
  • We help families, attorneys, and advocates map technology supports to specific decision-making domains financial, communication, safety, and medical and build the functional evidence record that supported decision-making arguments need. From money-autonomy tools to communication access to safety monitoring that protects without surveilling, we distinguish what is mature and citable today from what is still emerging.

Families are the largest caregiving workforce in the country and the least supported. We provide plain-language training and hands-on coaching that help families understand the service options available to them and use technology confidently at home.
